Student Information

Tell us about the student who will receive the scholarship.

Family & Contact

We'll use this information to reach you about your application.

Household Income

Scholarship eligibility is income-based under the Oklahoma Equal Opportunity Education Scholarship Act. This information is kept strictly confidential.

Include all adults and children living in the home.
Exact income thresholds are set annually by USDA and vary by household size. If you're unsure which tier applies, contact us before submitting. If your household income is above these thresholds, you may still be eligible below under a different qualifying pathway.
This is a separate qualifying pathway under Oklahoma law — if this applies, you may qualify even if your household income is above the tiers listed above.

School Information

Tell us about the student's current school and where they plan to attend if awarded a scholarship.

Academic standing accounts for 20% of our selection criteria. Include your most recent full-year GPA or equivalent description.

Scholarships may be used at any accredited Oklahoma private school. If you haven't selected a school yet, enter your first choice. Contact us to confirm a school qualifies.

Required

Oklahoma Residency

The student must be an Oklahoma resident who is eligible to enroll in an Oklahoma public school for the grade level in which a scholarship is sought.

Student households must meet income requirements under state law. Priority Tier 1 is for students from households at or below 100% of the income limit for free or reduced-price lunch. Tier 2 extends up to 200% of that limit.

Required

Special Circumstances

Students with documented special needs or exceptional circumstances are eligible for enhanced scholarship awards and receive additional consideration in our selection process.

How to Apply

Our application process is designed to be straightforward. Here's what to expect.

1

Confirm Your Eligibility

Review the eligibility requirements above. If you're unsure whether your household qualifies, contact us at [email protected] before starting an application.

2

Complete the Online Application

Submit the application form above — we accept applications on a rolling basis, year-round. You'll need household income documentation, the student's academic record, information about the intended school, and a personal statement.

3

Application Review

Our board reviews complete applications on an ongoing basis as funding becomes available, using our published selection criteria. Applications are scored on financial need (60%), academic standing (20%), special circumstances (10%), and personal statement (10%).

4

Award Notification

Applicants are notified of the award decision by email as soon as their application has been reviewed. Award letters include the scholarship amount, the participating school it is designated for, and instructions for the school to claim the funds.

5

Funds Paid to School

Scholarship funds are paid directly to the student's qualifying private school on behalf of the recipient. Families do not receive funds directly. Schools must confirm enrollment before payment is issued.

Participating Schools

OPA Scholarship Fund scholarships may be used at any accredited Oklahoma private elementary or secondary school that meets the requirements of the Oklahoma Equal Opportunity Education Scholarship Act.

Statewide Eligibility: We do not maintain a restrictive list of partner schools. Any accredited private school in Oklahoma that complies with applicable law is eligible to receive scholarship funds on behalf of our recipients. See our Partner Schools page for schools we work with directly, or contact us if you'd like to confirm that a specific school qualifies before applying.
